We have split opinions on whether or not a salted rim is necessary on margaritas, but one thing we both agree on is using quality salt every time. You don’t want to be mixing the processed salt in your cocktails. That is why we always recommend using a trusted salt brand. We have come to love all of the products from the San Francisco Salt Co. They have quality salts and great flavors! For the fall rim, we used their sea salt for this apple cider mezcal margarita.
This fall themed mezcal margarita is smokey, refreshing and pairs well with our gluten-free pumpkin carrot muffins. The margarita complements the earthy spiced flavors of gluten-free muffins. The mezcal’s depth adds a layer of sophistication that balances with the muffins’ wholesome goodness. Together, they create a yummy autumn inspired pairing that enhances both the cocktail and the baked treat.
