Notes for smokey blackberry margarita

If you are like us and prefer it spicy then turn up the heat in our Smokey Blackberry Margarita by adding some spicy jalapeño slices. Just toss them in and give it a gentle mix to balance the spice with the sweet and smoky flavors. Now you’ve got a Spicy Smokey Blackberry Margarita that adds a little extra kick to your sipping fun. Enjoy the blend of sweet, smoky, and spicy in every sip!

Don’t like mezcal or smokey?

A good substitute for mezcal in cocktails is tequila so just use tequila blanco in this recipe and omit the smoked salt for regular salt. But we really like San Francisco Salt co.’s smoked salt and highly recommend it to add a nice element of smoke. Tequila shares a similar agave base but has a milder, less smoky flavor compared to mezcal. If you’re looking for a non-agave alternative, try using a peaty Scotch whisky for a subtle smokiness or a smoky-flavored bourbon. Each substitution will bring its own unique twist to the drink, so choose based on your preference and the desired flavor profile of your cocktail. If you want something a little more sweet and balanced try our coconut blood orange margarita!
