Floral water, like our lavender rose flower water, is a nice-smelling and versatile liquid made from dried or fresh edible flowers. We made ours at home, mixing rose petals and lavender with water. It’s easy to do! You can use this floral (or flower) water in different ways. For your skin, you can spray it on your face, put it in your bath for a nice smell, and use it for your cocktails to give it that next-level feel! It is created through a simple process of distillation, capturing the aromatic compounds from these botanicals. The resulting lavender rose floral water carries the subtle and soothing scents of the dried flowers, offering a natural and refreshing aroma. Making this floral water is simple and lets you enjoy the sweet scents of roses and lavender at home. We first found and read a wonderful blog on rose water from Garden Therapy which we highly recommend checking out! And here is the link for the edible flowers that we purchased on Amazon!

INGREDIENTS :
Add dried flowers to a small saucepan and then water. You can use any edible dried flowers you wish! Gently stir and fold to separate the rose petals
Turn the heat to low, do not overheat them as it will make them overly bitter as you will essentially be making tea. Continue to stir making sure to get all the petals and buds covered in water.
When steam starts to form, place a tight-fitting lid on and set a timer for 20 minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine tea strainer or cheesecloth. Add to a mason jar or similar vessel and let cool to room temp. Store for up to 30 days.
