This recipe features fresh and tender pieces of sushi-grade ahi tuna marinated in a savory blend of soy sauce, sesame oil, and spices. This dish is a burst of oceanic flavors! how to make ahi tuna poke


  • ½ lb sushi-grade ahi tuna, diced 
  • 1 T rice wine vinegar 
  • 2 T toasted sesame oil 
  • 2 t ginger, microplaned 
  • 1 t sesame seeds, black or white 
  • 3 T green onions, chopped 
  • ½ avocado, diced 
  • 2 T orange juice 
  • 1 t sriracha 
  • 1 T honey 
  • ¼ C tamari
ahi tuna poke


Combine vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, sesame seeds, green onions, avocado, orange juice, sriracha, honey, and tamari in a large bowl. Stir until all ingredients are combined. 

Slice ahi tuna into ½ inch cubes and marinate in the sauce for ~ 30 minutes. Pour into a desired serving bowl, and garnish with additional sesame seeds and green onions. Best served with plantain chips!
