how to make an apple cider margarita

INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 oz reposado tequila
  • 2 oz spiced apple cider 
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice 
  • 1/4th oz maple syrup 
  • apple slices, for garnish 
  • star anise, for garnish 
  • fall salted rim, recipe below

fall salted rim :

  • ¼  t salt 
  • ¼  t cinnamon 
  • ¼  t brown sugar

method

To make the fall salted rim, combine all ingredients into a shallow plate or bowl. Mix until thoroughly combined. Using a wedge of a lime, coat the rim of your glass and then dip into the fall salt mixture.

In a cocktail shaker, add reposado, spiced apple cider, fresh lime juice, maple syrup, and ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with apple slices and whole star anise.
