Whenever we go to Hawaii we are always making pina coladas, and just winging the recipe. We have probably made over 20 different pina colada recipes, and this is the cumulation of all those. It has even passed the mom and grandparent test. Just be careful with how many of these they consume. Let us introduce to you … The Carnelian Colada! This vibrant concoction combines the lusciousness of pineapple, the creaminess of coconut, and a touch of island magic that will have you feeling like you’re lounging under swaying palm trees. how to make a carnelian colada (pina colada)

INGREDIENTS :

*makes 2 cocktails

  • 3 oz white rum
  • 1 ½ oz Malibu coconut rum
  • 4 oz Coco Lopez
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ C frozen pineapple 
  • 2 C ice
  • ¼ oz dark rum, float

METHOD : 

Combine all ingredients, except the dark rum, in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add more frozen pineapples to increase desired thickness. Top with rum float.
