skip the sweet and sour in a classic margarita

Sweet and sour mixes in most margaritas often contain high levels of added sugars, artificial flavors, and preservatives, contributing to an overly sweet and artificial taste. Opting for fresh lime juice in a margarita is a sign of a well-crafted drink because it brings a natural, tangy freshness without the excessive sugar and artificial additives. Fresh lime juice not only enhances the flavor but also provides a cleaner and more authentic taste, allowing the true character of the tequila and other ingredients to shine. A well-made margarita focuses on the simplicity of quality ingredients, and using fresh lime juice is a key step in achieving that delicious, balanced cocktail experience.
