Notes

Egg white cocktails are certainly not everyone’s cup of tea. Besides the added protein, why put them in there? Egg whites are added to cocktails to create a rich and frothy texture. When shaken vigorously with other ingredients the egg white creates a creamy foam on top, adding a luxurious and velvety mouthfeel to the drink. This technique is commonly used in classic cocktails like Whiskey Sour and Ramos Gin Fizz, enhancing the overall presentation and taste of the beverage. The egg white also helps to mellow out the sharpness of certain spirits and balances the flavors for a well rounded drinking experience.

One thing to note is that you will need to use a decent cocktail shaker in order to get that frothy goodness. We typically don’t like the cocktail shakers (the ones with the cap) that you see at the stores everywhere because they tend to leak. We love using Boston shakers, and in particular, we love the brand Cocktail Kingdom. When Evan was mixing up craft cocktails full time, this was the brand that his team used.
