Creating an exquisite pumpkin whiskey sour calls for attention to detail. Start with top notch pumpkin puree, whether canned or homemade, free from additives. You can even buy the pumpkin pie purree which has loads of fall spices. Adjust sweetness and tartness by experimenting with the pumpkin puree and fresh lemon juice quantities. Opt for a robust whiskey like bourbon or rye to complement the pumpkin’s earthy flavors. Enhance the experience with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of cloves for aromatic depth. Garnish your cocktail thoughtfully using a cinnamon stick, an orange peel twist or a fall design on top of your frothy egg white.
Did anyone say, pumpkin pasta?! Yes, pumpkin pasta! By combining this dish with a pumpkin whiskey sour you will be able to capture most of the fall flavors all in one meal. It would be a lot of pumpkin, but well worth it because fall only comes around once a year!
