Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and butter an 8” square baking pan. In a large bowl, beat the butter for 3 – 5 minutes with a mixer. It should be light and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar, 1/4 cup at a time, to the butter. Mix until thoroughly combined. Next, add the flour and salt to the bowl. Beat with a mixer until it forms a dough.
Transfer the biscuit dough to a greased pan and flatten it with the back of a cup. Cover the pan to prevent the dough from drying out and place it in the fridge for a minimum of one hour or overnight. Remove the pan from the fridge and bake for 45 – 60 minutes. The biscuits should look golden brown, but soft to the touch. Once the biscuits are done, let them cool on a drying rack before cutting into Ted’s signature rectangle slices.
